As we approach the highly anticipated release of the I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day anime adaptation, ROLL2 Studio has shared exciting behind-the-scenes updates that showcase the incredible dedication and artistry going into this project.

Animation Progress

The animation team has completed work on the first six episodes, with particular attention paid to the emotional nuances that make the source material so compelling. Director Takudai Kakuchi emphasized the importance of preserving the manga's intimate storytelling while enhancing it through the medium of animation.

"Every frame is crafted with the understanding that our audience has formed deep connections with these characters," Kakuchi explained during a recent studio visit. "We're not just adapting a story; we're honoring the emotional journey that readers have already experienced."

Voice Acting Sessions

Recent recording sessions with Rie Takahashi (Sheena) and Rina Hidaka (Mimi) have yielded some of the most emotionally powerful performances in recent memory. Both voice actresses have spoken about the challenge and privilege of bringing these complex characters to life.

"There's a weight to these characters that goes beyond typical anime roles," Takahashi shared. "Every line delivery needs to carry the emotional history and the unspoken feelings that define their relationship."

Music and Sound Design

Composer Yukari Hashimoto has been working closely with the production team to create a soundtrack that complements the series' emotional depth. The music ranges from delicate piano pieces that underscore intimate moments to more complex orchestral arrangements that capture the broader themes of war and survival.

"The silence between notes is just as important as the notes themselves," Hashimoto explained. "This story lives in the spaces between words, and the music needs to honor that."

Looking Ahead

With production on schedule for the 2025 release, fans can expect more updates in the coming months. The team remains committed to delivering an adaptation that not only meets but exceeds the expectations of the devoted fanbase.
